Hi, reviews on Go Outdoors site about this tent are not very positive, which is a shame as i really quite like it and want to buy one. I thought they were made by Gelert (as is my Horizon and thats ok) so now I don't know what to do. I wont be able to camp for a couple of weeks so if its faulty what do I do. And if you have a faulty tent do they refund/exchange immediately (assuming I can return it to a store even if I buy online?) or do they send it 'for investigation'? Please help, I've been dithering over a second tent for weeks and need to decide soon!

I can only find one really negative review on the Go Outdoors website, and the majority of reviews on here are positive: UKCS reviews. I couldn't comment on Go Outdoors' customer service but if you are worried about it, what about getting a Gelert Lakesbury instead - essentially the same idea. As with every product, there is a chance you might get a "Friday afternoon" tent as it must be impossible to fully check every single tent before it leaves the factory.
I have a friend who is just back from Cornwall with his Mojave 5 and he is very impressed at how well it stood up to the torrential rain they experienced over the fortnight. I would love one myself as a weekend tent but have settled for a slightly cheaper and more basic Easycamp Aspen instead.
When I had to return one of my tents as it was faulty, I emailed the retailer with some photographs of the issues and they sent them to the tent manufacturer who agreed that it was worthy of a refund. They then arranged a direct swap and within the week a courier appeared with a brand new tent and took the old one away.
The Mojave is down to £130 this week which is about the lowest price I've seen so far. Good luck!
My daughter has the Mojave 5, and she thinks is great, loads of room, very sturdy, we have just purchased the porch for her as a gift, for when we go to Cornwall on Friday. She has used it in very stong winds and heavy rain and had no problems.

You need to put these reviews into context. The majority are very positive. The majority of people that buy will not leave a review and are more likely to leave a review if they are unsatisfied. Also with the amount of tents sold there will be some that slip through quality control and thats true of any brand and make.
So all in all this looks like a great tent to me.

Hi, I'm assuming these are this years models people are happy with? Seems to be a pro blem this year for some reason. I've thought about the lakesbury but I would have to buy it online and if any problems I would have to post it, at least Go Outdoors have shops not too far away and I can talk to someone 'in the flesh'. Also the lakesbury doesn't have the windows like the mojave does now which really makes it feel spacious. Probably going to have to order one and see how it goes. Thats if they haven't run out...

We bought the Daughter and Family a Mojave 5 last year (obviously the one without the windows). A great tent! This year we have bought them the Footprint and Porch. Both these additions make the tent even better specially with the porch. Absolutely no problems with any part of it. .

Welsue's other half and also a ,Camper, Sailor and a nearly Outdoor Person.
Give them 24hrs to notify you. I have last years model with carpet , footprint and vango icarus 600 canopy and it is a great tent, lots of room and has stood up to heavy rain and strong winds and is easy to pitch also goes back in the bag no problem footprint as well.
ok, I'll do that. Haven't bought a footprint yet but I will if the tents ok, or maybe adapt a groundsheet. I'm going to use my Horizon 6 carpet for now with picnic rugs as its not wide enough. If they send one I shall test it out with the hose asap and check all the stitching. Please, please don't be a dodgy tent, I don't need the hassle!
