Hi I would be very grateful for some help - we currently have a Vango Idaho (5 person) there is only me and my partner plus our bikes so we like a fairly large but manageable tent. We have had very good wear out of our Vango we are thinking of changing. Out attention has been drawn to Outwell Tents - primarily for the large windows and sturdy poles plus the possibility of a side awning, footprint, carpet they look very good. I think the one we would have gone for would have been the Outwell Montana 5 no longer in production.
Could I please have feedbeck on:-
Outwell Oakland XL, Outwell Nevada - can you get footprint, side awning, carpet for these.
Vango Calisto can you get footprint, carpet, side awning for these.
TV's in tents has anybody managed to get reasonable reception if so what type of aerial do you use.

Many thanks

I have an Oakland XL. You can purchase footprint, carpet, front and side extensions.

The tent is great and easy to pitch has two main steel poles and two fibreglass poles (one at front & one at back). I have just bought the front extension but can't comment on it as it will be having its first outing this weekend.

Would definitely recommend the Oakland, it is a lovely tent and definitely lots of space. We are a family of 4 (2 kids age 7 & 4) and it is ample space for us.

Hope this helps

We had an Oakland, all the extras you mention are available but shop around as you can get some good deals.

Some good Oakland tent and carpet prices here and you can get 10% cheaper from Go Outdoors. http://lpctents.com/searchresults.asp?searchstr=oakland
