I'd say bell tent as well - so easy to put up, so comfortable, and a simple tarp can give a good covered area outside for cooking and stuff.

Hmm not sure about a bell tent, how do you separate the sleeping and living areas?
Can you do an icarus by yourself?------------- Claire.

With a bell tent inner. You end up with loads of space for both sleeping and living. And it's simple to undo some of the attachments and fold it further out of the way during the day if you want. We are family of 5, sometimes 6, and find we have much better space to use in a bell tent with a tarp to cover an area outside then we ever do in a typical tent with bedroom pods. The whole thing is just so easy.

OH can manage Icarus solo no problem (actually, so could I when we bought it but that's another story) and our 11 yr old can nearly manage, just not quite there with the ring and pins.

I can pitch my Licata 400 solo in about 15-20 minutes.
Vango Icarus 500 can be pitched in about the same time (my friends both have this tent)
