I'm intrigued - and finding a similar amount of dithering and indecisiveness about one of these or a Robens Kiowa. As you spent a lot of time deciding, may I ask what swayed you to the Tentipi over the likes of Sibley Bells etc in the final assessment?
cheers and thanks!
John.. :-)

"Dithering, cogitating, ruminating..." is research! And it pays with the lovely tent!
Months of the same and much changing of minds has resulted in Santa bringing a Blacks of Greenock Solace 1 and porch extension, for us.... a little patience required yet!!
Congratulations on your lovely tent!

We love ours OP. Slightly disappointed with the floor tbh whichever lets water in through the zips on boggy ground and awful weather conditions. If you haven't bought a floor I would recommend a round bell tent floor for about fifty quid.
We use a floor I made to measure, put the stove on a very thick folded wool blanket. You really don't need to zip it back, I think the design must have come from the open fire 🔥 in the tent rather than the stove need.
Edited to add that the floor leakage was in absolutely vile weather 50-60 mph winds and torrential rain West coast of Scotland and the islands. It chewed up tents and apart from a couple of backpackers we were the only tent standing on three different nights. But we didn't trust it after that. This is, after all, our winter/bad weather tent, and it is absolutely fab apart from the ££££££ floor.
I did write to tentipi who recognised the issue but couldn't really offer a design solution so I bought some decent stuff from Esvo and made a floor that becomes a bathtub and toggles in the same way the tentipi one does.
I also made a door tarp to give cover in the rain and altered a tatonka tarp to Velcro in above the door and provide somewhere to sit outside in the sun ☀️ or light rain.
Well, moving on from the Original post, wow what an investment. In 2014 we had sold both our house's and they were in storage, our property we were buying, not completed due to will being lost. We ended up in the Tipi for 22 weeks that's right 22 weeks, no stove, that had gone into storage. Boy was I glad we had the Tipi, so quick to errect and take down which we had to do many many times. I never bought a floor, we have 4 camo ground sheets which gives us plenty of flexibility, kinder to the ground too. Never had issues with water or wind. The tent was up from 13/4/2014 to 28/8/2014 Not sure any other tent would have survived. Love it, best Tent I've ever bought Period.
