Hello,

Been looking for a while for a good quality weekend tent for me and the little un to get away on short trips.

Ideally it has to be 3/4 man tent, easy to erect on my own, around £100, SIG and preferably enough living area to sit in case it rains.

I like the look of Outwell tents and think I may have found a good deal.

Outwell Oakland S delivered for £107.95? There is only one review on here which seems positive but wondered if anyone else had any advice? Or think it's a bargain?

Thanks

PS. Offer ends tonight, arrghh!

The Oakland XL is a great tent. Can't see why the S shouldn't be as good. With a £60 saving I'd say go for it

I have seen one in the flesh, not as tall as the m or l so you won't be able to stand up properly if your tall but otherwise a good tent.

Im not hugely fussed about being able to stand, just need an area to sit if the weather turns bad. As you have seen this in the flesh would you recommend and does it look easy to put up?

Many thanks

With just 3 poles can't be any simpler, I say go for it at that price. Just don't pitch it the way they do on the outwell videos better to peg all 4 corners then put the steel pole in followed by the other poles then adjust and peg out, it's a lot easier and quicker way to pitch

Well I've gone and ordered it! Think it'll be a great little tent for the money.

Thanks for your advise, bring on some better weather!!!

Congrats on purchase, don't forget to practice pitch it in the garden when it's dry, better than on site. May take a couple of goes to get it right.

I agree with shirleys. Don't follow Outwell videos for pitching! We pitch our Oakland XL the same way as shirleys; much better and quicker! I saw a couple pitching an 'Oaky' the Outwell way, on a windy day, and they both nearly took off!
