Any help on the size would be great! I have 2011
Montana, but I have had a 2010 awning for Christmas
I have searched the net but can only find 2006 2009 layouts
Which all say the same size as 2011!
Hoping the 2010 is the same width and hight

hi fiona

the 2010 model is the exact same size as 2011 model --415x585  , the awning is wider than your tent so it can be clipped onto  the poles

Total length is about 8.6 metres, width 4.2m there is about 30% overlap in terms of floor space from the awning.

The awning begins at the third guy from the left hand side (the rest is just a rain cap) however here is a picture that shows the outline of the tent inside the awning in order for you to judge for yourself. I'd say that the awning gives you about 70% again in usable space (excluding the bedroom pods of course)

hope this helps shaun

Hi Fiona,

i took my 2010 extension back to Go, and then bought a 2011 to fit my 2011 Montana.

Sorry don't want to put a spanner in the works but-

There IS a weight difference the 2011 Extension weighs 11.2 kg and the 2010 is 9.3kg this tells me that there is as others have sugested a difference in size. Could lead to stressing / ripping of fabric attaching a 2010 to the 2011 tent.

also the 2011 extension window sizes and luminous beading are another difference from the 2010.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, I have also had an email back from outwell and there is a 10cm width difference, so i think its best to take it bk and swap for a 2011, or sell and buy a 2011 better safe than sorry

Well I'm shocked as the plan diagram of the front of the tent over the last few years has been exactly the same each year (415cm x 215cm) as far as I remember.

The awning is likely to be 10cm wider than the tent, but I am surprised that they increased the size of the tent for one year before reducing it again, while keeping the diagram they sell the tent by exactly the same - oh well! - it is Outwell They are more likely to get their weight estimates wrong, like the other manufacturers. Some even forget to add the weight of the poles.

-------------
Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!

We found that the 2010 extension just didn't fit the 2011 tent properly and actually ripped a bit. Go Outdoors were really good and took it back no issues. Other thing to remember the windows don't match up.

Matt
