We are looking to replace our Vango Diablo 900 very soon. I wondered if anyone has any experience of the Vango Marista and what their view are. Reviews on this site look very positive. Are there any other tents that we should consider? Have also looked at the Kampa Studland, but am not convinced that the living space is as versatile as the Marista. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children and use the tent for weekends and for our main holiday in the summer.
Thanks
Tracie
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
I had to return a few maritsa 700 tents with faults all varying. Great design but did not work for me in the end.
Have you looked at the Kampa bamburgh 6 same design but they are definitely an up and coming brand Linky
Hi there, we have the vango Marisa 700 and absolutely love it! It has tons of space and I particularly like the porch with sewn in groundsheet. I use it as our kitchen area and to keep muddy shoes, footballs etc. We only have two children but sometimes they like a room, or even sleep in the living area - because there's so much room! On a rainy day you can easily get your table and chairs in. It is quite heavy, especially the poles but once its up, it's not going anywhere. Its taken us a good few attempts to get it up properly but there is good advice on the tent review section. Also really like the two big doors in living space with netting, makes it east to air.
Try and get a 2011 model as we've not had any leaking with ours compared to some unlucky people on here who seemed to have a 2010 model.
Hi TracieT
I'm afraid I have no information on the Vango Marista but if you intend to replace your Vango 900XP I would be very interested in the footprint for this tent should you decide to sell it. I am also interested in the canopy if it is the sage colouring.
Please keep me in mind.
We have the Maritsa 500 and absolutely love it! There are only two of us, and our dog, hence the reason we went for the smaller one, but we have had no problems with it at all, it feels good and sturdy when it's up, loads of space - ooooh, I just love it!!!!
I also like the look of the Kampa Bamburgh, but we couldn't find one that we could look at anywhere and OH would not buy without seeing one up first, so we went with the Maritsa.
Well worth getting the carpet and footprint too imo!
