We have just purchased the 2011 canopy for our Icarus 500.  Along with the ordinary pegs there are 2 pegs with ringed tops.  Can anybody tell us what they are for?  It doesn't say on the pitching instructions.

Also, how do you fit the groundsheet within the canopy to make it fully enclosed?

The answers will probably become clear the first time we pitch it, but weather is too bad to pitch at the moment and we're curious!  Any help gladly received.

They are for pegging down the strap at the front of the extension. I haven't fitted the groundsheet yet as I just popped it up in the garden today so can't help with that. sorry.

Some people pitch the icarus extension with the mud flaps on the outside but we turn our to the inside, peg them down with ringed top pegs and then lay the groundsheet on the top and peg down the corners and the front

Sorry for hi jackIng this thread. BUT. We have the Icarus 500 enclosed canopy. We have a 2010 tent with a 2011 canopy.
Question is. Where do you peg out the two front guy lines. If you peg them as normal they're about 6 inch inside the canopy wall. If you don't peg them at all the canopy drags the front section of the tent down.
Any answers ?

We would also be interested in any response as although we have erected our Icarus with the original open style canopy. We have yet to erect the tent with our enclosed canopy. We had no problem with the guy lines inside the canopy walls but with the enclosed canopy comes the groundsheet. How do you fit the groundsheet around the guy lines as mentioned in the above post
