Hi Laura, thought I'd respond and bump your post back up a bit! Like you, I thought this tent looked nice, good sort of design and price and a handy size - but I really don't need another tent. If I was looking, it would definitely be on my shortlist.
I've only seen the one review on here and a couple when I googled it and some of the retail sites had a review or too.
Hope you get a response from someone who knows more than me soon.
I've just bought one of these! Only yesterday though so can't tell you what they're like.
Like you I couldn't find hardly any reviews. Was deciding between this and the Icarus 400 but for some reason I was drawn to the Aura. The design looks good and anything is a step up from the embarrassment-of-a-tent we were using!
I got it for a little over half price too which was a bonus! I think my thoughts were if the RRP is higher then it's going to be better which is why I picked it over the Icarus.
It is semi-geodesic, so should stand up to winds a little better, although the Icarus do have the TBS which is supposed to address that particular issue.
Anyway, looks good enough to me - nice, neat good looking tent - hope you get lots of fun out of it!

Yeah, I checked out the lack of TBS on the Aura and they said it's because it's semi-geodesic it doesn't need it (or shouldn't need it!), whereas the Icarus is a tunnel so needs the extra support. Anything has to be a step up from the awful Rage tent we've been using!
Yes, the Aura should be nice and strong. I just love the neat look of it, its a very good looking tent and you get some nice details with Vango, they've stood the test of time. Hope you and yours have a great summer
Saw this thread and decided to order the same tent after reading just about every tent thread on this site, was doing my head in, more I looked the more confusing it got, so took the plunge on this model.
