We've just upgraded from a 4m to a 5m bell tent and as OH has been after a carpet I've scoured the Internet and found this little beauty!

Made to measure! packs down nice and small, reasonable price and will keep our toes nice and warm!

Cathy used hers at the weekend and looks good

Totally useless for me with black fleece carpet and 2 yellow labs

Wish they had done a nice neutral beige colour

Snap! ( No labs just dont want a black carpet)
A nice pic with all the measurements though to help me when I attempt to make my own. Just trying to souce some cheap fabric, otherwise it works out blooming expensive.

I'm surprised there aren't more bell tent carpets out there really.

I'd seen that one before but the colour wasn't very inspiring. Yesterday I cut my Montana carpet up to the centre as they've done with the round one, and put edging along the cut edge so it can be put in the tent after it's pitched, not before. I'm quite pleased with the result.

I have seen these too I was a bit put off by the colour, I have a yellow dog too, not a lab but there is some in him somewhere he's god the bad hips to prove it! I was also a bit dubious of the quality as the picture makes them look a bit thin so I would be interested to know what the quality is actually like, my only experience of tent carpet was with an outwell and I'm not expecting it to be of the same standard but seeing as its my only point of reference would like to know how they compare. Does the fleecy part look like it would stand up to some use or bobble up?

I've just cut my old grass friendly awning groundsheet it was big enough to make a 4 metre semicircle..I'm now looking for a cheap 4 metre square groundsheet to make a footprint for under the tent!!
Cant wait to try it out now..

Hello

We've been off this site for a few years as we went to live in the middle east. I brought back a couple of large Persian carpet style picnic rugs and I'm going to use them as a carpet. I'm sure they can be bought in the UK too. I just have no idea where. They were very popular with the locals in the UAE.

They are huge and actually look like real rugs - even my mum was fooled when I had mine out in the garden yesterday (why have you put that carpet outside, it will get ruined etc)

The only thing is they are plasticky not soft - but easy to clean and waterproof.

My friends thought I was mad bringing them back, but I was determined to have them for my bell tent. They'll compliment the insane genie lamp vacuum flask I bought to go with them!
