newbie here so hope I'm posting this in the correct forum?
Hoping to get into camping this year, think it will be great for the kids and May - September short breaks. (nothing too adventurous!)
Have recently bought a 2nd hand Kalahari 10 from and ebay seller that, by the looks of things, sells on returned items.
Cut a long story short, I've had the tent up OK, but it was originally supplied with 5 poles, all bar 2 were completely different lengths. The seller agreed to send another set, these arrive today and I still think they must be incorrect. I have the following questions to anyone familiar with the Kalahri 10
1) How long are the fibre glass poles overall?
2) How many sections are there in a complete pole?
3) are the poles supposed to be straight before being flexed (the 2nd set of poles have arrived with bends in the metal ferrules, I'm presuming this is damage but they are fairly consistent so just got me wondering if part of the design?
I reckon I'm going to have to fix together a set of poles from the jumble of stuff received so far, so all advice greatly welcome.
Many thanks
Greg

Might not be much help but ive seen a few of these tents on different sites and all poles look universal to me so all 5 sets should be the same length. Dont worry someone with the same tent will be along soon to advise you soon.
Thanks. Yeah, they're definitely supposed to all be the same length (and I suspect straight too) just don't know what length is correct! Once I know, I can make up a full set if the vendor can't send the originals.
Funnily enough we've just put up our new Kalahari 8 tent in the garden. What I can say is that all the poles are identical lenghs and they do have bends about 1/3 of the way in from each end, which coincide roughtly with the long sleeve at the top of the tent. I can't tell you how many sections are in each pole as they are in the tent at the moment, plus the kalahari 8 may be different from your 8.
There should also be 2 poles (3 sections each) that let you turn the door into a porch, rubber foot on one end, spike on the other and a plain centre section.
Good luck, drop me a note if you have any more questions/
Thanks for all the replies. From what I can figure so far:
Kalahari 10 has 5 x 11 section poles, 12.7mm dia, 63cm each section, no angles in ferrules, pole overall length = 6.6m
Kalahari 8 has 5x 11 section poles, 12.7mm dia, approx 58cm each section, 2 x angled ferrules in each complete pole, overall pole length approx = 6.0 cm
I've put the above info together from a variety of sources, and a bit of detective work, but any corrections to above more than welcome.

Opened it and has 3 complete pole assemblys with 10 sections, complete with the elastic guides.
remaining sections are in pieces
ive managad to lie them down flat today back to back in symeteic fashion and they make 5 x 10
2 straight sections, followed by 2 for the bend, 2 more straights, 2 more for the bend, followed bu 2 more f other end, making 10 ie 2 +2 +2 +2 +2 = 10.
Here you are saying 11 sections and x 5 complete runs?
mine measure approx 65 in lenght
im confortable i have this right but puzzled why it conflicts with info here
The Kalahari 10 is a re-badged version of my Beyond by Gelert Meridian 10. All 5 poles are exactly the same length and all have the same angled ferrules to shape the tent roof. Hope this helps.
