A couple of zip 'teeth' have broken on my 2011 Icarus 500 side door which means that it now sticks in a few places - but even if I manage to get it to close, it opens again all on it's own! Apparently this kind of thing is not covered by warranty (annoyingly) and the cheapest I've been quoted to replace the zip is £72!
Can anyone suggest a more economical tent repairer that could replace the zip?
Cheers

Hi someone posted the following link couple of days ago, not sure how it works, but looks good in theory.
Not going to help with the missing teeth though. I think that the whole zip will need replacing unless the missing teeth are in a place that you can sew up permanently.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Was considering buying an Icarus , was it the retailer or Vango that told you that faulty zips are not covered under warrenty ? Dosn't seem very fair !!
Classed as wear and tear norally zips and poles are not covered

Thanks for the replies folks. I don't think the 'zlideon' thing is what I need but thanks for the suggestion.
I live in the North West so if anyone knows anywhere who can do a zip fix I'd be grateful for the suggestion. I've rung a few of the usual places and they either can't do it or charge a fortune. Camperlands suggested I send a plea to Vango so I've given that a go.
LuckyMe/Jill - don't let this put you off buying one. They're excellent tents and apart from the zip, the only other problem I had was a broken pole which cost about a fiver to fix myself.
