Please can anyone help us, we are doing an upgrade to Polycotton, after years of waiting to be able to afford it.
Over the last 2 days I have contacted approximately 15-20 retailers and I am trying to find a display of the polycotton tents, we like Outwell and are intererested in several of them, we like the CLEARLAKE, COUGAR, YELLOWSTONE FALLS, POSSIBLY WOLFLAKE TOO.
We would even consider a different branded Polycotton if we could find one that suits our requirements, we like space, we like hanging rails and we need at least two bedrooms, I am wary of the sloping fronts due to water inlet if you get bad weather/
I really am open to any suggestions or help anyone can offer as to where we may be able to see these tents on show as absolutely no where locally is displaying them, has anyone even got one that they would be willing to show us..
Thank you all.
Tracie

Yeomans in Northampton have a few polycottons on display I noticed when I popped in earlier to pick up some gas...was marvelling at the beautiful bearlake 6..
Thanks guys, I am very anxious to spend £1000 without looking at the tent in the flesh if you understand.
I have waited years to upgrade to polycotton after years of making do and it is an investment I am hoping will last us 10 or more years, I could not possibly make such a decision without actually having had sight of the tent.
I do appreciate your comments though and hope more help is out there for me xx

If you fancy a day out, could be worth a visit to Casey's at Chester, they have some real nice "Cotton" and "PolyCotton" tents on display, along with "All Season Polyester" which looks and almost feels like "PolyCotton" but is arguably stronger and longer lasting than both "PolyCotton" and "Cotton".
Caseys is attached to a large Garden centre, well worth a mooch in itself, with a top notch restaraunt,
I second what Francais is saying, Casey's are in the Grosvenor garden centre in Chester and they have excellent displays of tents are also on line, there is also the great outdoors in seland and go outdoors in saltney. You could make a day out and visit the 3 they are not to far apart.

Thank you guys, on looking at your recommendations and their websites, none of the places are displaying the Cougar or Clearlake which are our first choices?
I have never heard of Alll Seasons Polyester, who makes these?
Why is spending money so hard, if I had none I bet there would be loads out there smiling at me..

"All Season Polyester" is Cabanon's none "Cotton" canvas, I did try to track it down, and came to the conclusion, that is was a special canvas done for Cabanon from the Tencate stable, no doubt from thier Soliare range.
Fact is Cabanon have never done a "PolyCotton" canvas, as all variants of "PolyCotton" that they tested did not pass muster.
The Cabanon "All Season Polyester" was first developed for thier commercial customers, who run pre-erected tent operations, after that the canvas was rolled out to the Cabanons consumer range, better known as the Biscaya range of tents.
For me though there is nothing quite like "Cotton" for the ideal tent canvas, and that's why I ended up with a Cabanon "Cotton" Biscaya 370.
We upgraded this year to a Kampa Filey 6 polycotton, it hasnt got any rails but it has a straight front with a canopy, perfect when its raining as we found out. The tent is excellent, why dont you have a look in the review section,
It's a 2 hour trip from you but they have the Clear Lake, Cougar Lake, and I think from memory either a wolf or bear lake. They've one of the Reef range and lots of other tents. It was 2 hours from us but I don't think a 4 hour round trip for a spend of £1000 is a bad idea. The garden centre is really nice, has a cafe etc. - make a day of it
After much delineration and painful searching I have finally bought a tent.......
I have bought the Bear Lake 6... it has a fully sewn in groundsheet and the option of the porch and we are only talking about 90cm living space extra in the Clearlake that I so wanted.
Maybe if I did not have to travel 4 hours to actually see the tent in the flesh I would of gone for it but with school runs and the other half's shifts for us both to be able to get to Surrey and back would of been a nightmare just to see a tent.
The thing that finally swung it for me was the GO Outdoors Price Promise.... I managed to find it £200 cheaper with another store so they have had to price match and give me a further 10% off so I have managed to get this brand new polycotton Bear Lake for an amazing £695...
ANY FEEDBACK, HINTS OR TIPS FOR ME FOR MY NEW BEAR LAKE 6, PLEASE FORWARD.... I WILL READ THEM ALL...
VERY HAPPY I CAN RELAX NOW AND LOOK FORWARD TO MY MONTH IN CORNWALL AS SOON AS THE KIDS BREAK UP..

Good price Tracie - We liked the bear lake too - saw one up with the porch extension which really makes a difference as it's so deep and fits so well to the tent it looks like it's part of it. The Bear Lake on our campsite at Jubilee was also one of the few tents to make it through the gales so think you'll love it.
I hope you have good weather for your trip to cornwall and enjoy your purchase.
