Hi all, a few years ago we had a trailer tent & have now decided to start camping again but would like to get a tent this time, trouble is we are a family of 9 & would therefore need a large tent with at least 4 or possibly 5 sleeping compartments.

I have been looking at reviews but really have no clue what to get, can anyone offer any advise please

There's a 20 (yes 20!) man tent on offer in Argos at the mo for £450. Don't know if it's any good or what you want though. Bear in mind that if you get one of those odd shaped tents (sort of triangular with pods going off a central area), that not all sites like them and may charge more, though this can apply to any large tent regardless of shape.

Have a look at the Vango Monte Verde 9, saw one errected at a tent show recently, it was mahoosive!

kamppa studland classic 8 pollycotton is well worth a look huge tent with option of a vestibile extension on front , costs a few quid but will last

Seen those in the flesh as I called in and had a look round their display yesterday.

Have you considered a trailer tent? They are 8 berth, two doubles with 2 double under bed pods though the doubles are big enough for 3 imo or you could put a single airbed in the space between the two upper doubles :) We have a huge one with extensions and a sun canopy and have loads of room for 5/6 people and our 2 labs :)

Don't think it's been mentioned but the COrado 8 has 4 bedrooms but it's a huge tent.
