Hi Im going to make my own footprint from a tarpaulin, but not sure which thickness to get? has anyone made one?  And can anyone recommend a good cheap place to but a tarpaulin?

I got mine from B&Q. Standard blue one. Cost about a tenner.

Just remember to cut it slightly smaller than the ground sheet so that any rain water doesn't run underneath.

if you only want to keep your tent clean you can go as thin as you like try fleebay i got one for £1.5 to wrap my tent up on the roof rack.
