I recently saw the Montana 6P Front Extension (the open fronted one) on a Montana 6P at Go Outdoors. You had enough room for chairs and perhaps a small kitchen stand but not much else.
I have seen pictures of the Montana 6 Extension with picnic tables and large kitchen stands. Now I thought the only difference between the tents was 5cm so the new front can't entrude into the extension that much.
Looking at both Extensions I think the only difference is that the 6P Extension has tinted windows, or has the size been changed? The awning works fine but I think the extension should have been a foot or so longer.
I do have the 6P extension but not had chance to test it yet.
Thank

I agree that the 6P extention seems to give nothing else but a cover over the sloping door. Saw it at go outdoors and wasn't impressed. Our extention on our 2010 Montana seems to have a lot more room. Not sure about measurements though

We have just had our first trip in our new Montana 6p in Cornwall. Though it rained and was sunny we used our side porch as the main door, because we don't have the extension yet.
Really wanted to get the extension as it would be nice to cook outside and leave kitchen equipment there.
Our local tent shop only has the montana 6 awing on show and not the extension, so it's difficult to see if it has a lot of space.
