Never pitched your tent but we have the Trout Lake 4 and after watching the video for yours, the theory is not dissimilar at all.
I pitched ours on my own for the first time and used the tip that opening the front door before you try and lift all the poles up makes it easier to lift, which was correct (air flow..).
All you have to do is remember to zip up the front door before you start to peg out otherwise you'll lose the shape meaning that you will struggle to close the door afterwards.
Other than that, it looks pretty straight forward..
I have pitched ours on my own a few times, no problem.
Lay out, insert rear pole laid onto the main body of tent, get back guy ready, insert pins, open doors, lift pole, a combination of pole lifting and running to rear guy. Peg guy. Peg rear of the tent now.I usually leave the pole facing towards the front of the tent, so rear guy not in final postion. Voila rear pole up. Next the second pole from the front, as the first pole, put use the front guy.
Then do the rest at your leisure! The awning is more difficult solo, but agian I've done this a few times too. Enjoy, fab tent.
Thanks for that Memories i was hoping you would come with your advise as it was your reviews that made us deside on buying the florida 8 . we are off on saturday morning so let you know how we got on .
Have a great time - sure you will be fine. We are off to France - late tomorrow, early Saturday, but will visit here when we get sorted to see how you got on.
We've only done a couple of practice pitches with the Yosemite, so we will see how that goes in the real world too!. Of course we were taking the Florida 8, but fell for the Yosemite a couple of months back. The Florida has been used all year round, and we will continue to use too!.

we have been back a week but wish we could go back and carry on camping lol, the tent was great then we put up the awning and it gave us more space than we could ever of hoped for, pitching was straight foward and have to agree with your idea about the awning tub never did get it perfect this time but we will learn from this 1st time . very glad we got to read your review and found such a bargain , i think this tent will keep us happy for a good number of years we were very proud of it and got a lot of interest from fellow campers asking for a look inside. And we had great weather to boot wall to wall sunshine all week on our favorite site Park Farm at Swanton Morley ,thanks again for your help and we hope you had a good time on your camp
