we have just come back from a 2 week camping holiday(myself, partner and 3 children15,11,2) and we used a Vango Oregan800 8berth tent, we found it was ok for space but now want to buy our own tent as this is my mums
i say we its more myself, have been lookng at the Hi Gear Corado 8 - 8 Berth Tent . as it seems to have alot of space, alot of reviews say that its huge and im bit worried it wont fit on a standard size pitch that your allocated, i know this is a bit pricey but if its value for money than i think its worth the buy
i also looked at the vango tigris but i find i keep going back to look at the oregan,
has any1 had/got this tent and used it in very heavy rain etc etc and how did it hold up as cant rely on much sun in good old uk lol.was it easy to put up etc etc
all the help/info about how u find this tent would be a great help as ive spent hours trawling the net tonight ...
thank you in advance

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Kampa Studland 8...I know I'm biased but it really is a good tent, plenty of room, plenty of windows, the sleep tight system for the bedrooms works well, Easy to put up, sturdy in high winds.
no not going again till next year. as we buying everything this time instead of borrowing,
the more tents ilook at i find i still keep going back to the lookat corado8, i fell inlove with it when i saw it in ourlocalgo outdoors , then even more when i saw itpitched up with allthe trimmings a few tents away from us,wish i asked to have a nose with everthing set up in now im hoping it goes down inprice afterchristmaslol
off to have a nosey at the kampa studland8 reviews lol my sister just got the kalahariand i dint like it as it didnt have a fly screen on thedoors (think i too fussy)

Hi, i bought the vango Tigris 800 2011 model this yr and is great for us (me, my partner and 2 daughters age 2 & 5) as it has big living space and you can rotate the rooms to suit. easy to put up (and surprisingly easy to pack away - watched plenty of videos on youtube and vango site on this). I paid £220 for it and £25 for the footprint which is essential to keep the tent clean when packing away though i cant remeber the name of the website. you would have to google to find the tigris 800 as most places now only sell the 800XL which i think is the same size as the 800 but with more windows which are also bigger and so is the price tag around £380-ish. now looking for a side canopy to use as a kitchen and shelter to sit in when kids in bed. hope this helps.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
