Does anyone have any experience of using a Coleman awning on a Vermont XL/XLP tent? We're looking for some way to cover the front door so we can open up the tent when it's raining, without letting all the rain in! ..and sadly Outwell don't do a front extension for Vermonts....
We did consider a Coleman event shelter but they are just too big for what we need and we'd never fit on a pitch!
Or does anyone know of any other awning that would do the trick? All advice much appreciated!

I have asked the same question previously, - the best solution (i am told) is to use a monty 6 canopy and modify the adjusting straps for the larger Vermont front. Its not a perfect fit but does work.
There is a thread on here somwhere that has images attached.
I've seen a Monty 6 canopy on a Vermont L, .. my 2 friends have that set up .. but not on an XL ... but will look for the thread you mention, as still looking for a solution to make this tent perfect in all weathers!

Use the Montana Canopy on our Vermont L and would have thought with a bit of ingenuity you would be able to adapt it to fit the XL.
