especially as 3 will have to share the larger sleeping pod with the eldest in the smaller pod. Each bed is 65cm wide and 195 long.
My reserach suggests the sleeping area is just over 4m in total and probably separated into 2 sizes of 1.4m and 2.7m (based on the Cabanon Athena which has similar dimensions) - but measurements are one thing and the reality quite another.
Any advice welcome.

Good choice of tent Our four berth compartment measures eight foot wide (2.44), and the two berth is just four foot wide (1.22). The only problem you may have is the length - due to the inner pod tapering in as it goes upwards - and I can't help you with the measurement of the pod at the point where the top of the camp bed comes to, as our pods are both packed away now
Ours served us very well during last weeks torrential rain and strong winds so good choice of tent. We bought an additional 2 berth pod (caravan awning type one with sig) We fastened it on one corner so gave us more room. We had son 7 in one, son 16 (and nearly 6ft)in the new pod and oh,me and 2 dogs (in larger pod)...one being a retriever! Was still plenty of room inside ...had to be as we were in there from 8pm each evening due to weather and we were able to eat inside too when we had to
So don't dismiss it ...there are ways around

Autumn - North and Scotland
Thanks both, we are really keen but don't want to make a wrong purchase really, especially as will want to be using this for week plus trips and need to be sure of the sleeping space.
JK98 - thanks, those measurements make more sense to someone my age.
Gailbonny - your family make up is virtually the same as ours (me, OH, son age 13 (and already 6ft) and other age 8) - but no dogs, we are away from the house too long during the day to have a dog . Is the new pod hung in the living space? Anbd is left there permanently?

The sale fell through - the seller contaced us yesterday to say therev was a big patch of mould on the tent side and it would need repairing. Would have gobe to check it out if closer but didn't fancy an 80m trip to come back empty handed.
Ah well, back to google search for another one then

Pjaz
have a look at the Cabanon Aruba, it is a newer tent and is about the same size as the Elody. You would get 3 of the beds in the larger bedroom compartment(no room between tho)You can also get the bedroom annexe ( which we have on ours) to create even more space!!
Thanks Wurzel, been looking at the Athena also as thats very similar.
However, we've shelved our plans at the moment to save up a bit more money to get a newer tent. Must admit though that my eye has been caught by bell tents at the moment - though that will require some significant saving.
