I just bought a Robens tent from Casey's Outdoors, the one based in Chester. I had such a positive experience I feel obliged to pass on my recommendation.
I cannot praise them enough. They responded to my trivial issues and over stretched themselves. A John Lewis standard of customer service.
They will be my first stop for any future outdoor equipment requiremts.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Emanselj I see you have just joined today and your first post is to praise Casey's Outdoors, you don’t happen to work for them do you..? All joking apart it’s good to hear positive feedback about retailers.
I bought my non-too-cheap-but-non-too-shabby Filey 6 classic from here a month or so ago. I made 2 or 3 'phone calls prior to my trip up there, to check out the tent (1 of only 2 on display in the country, I believe), and once there, bombarded them with questions, asked advice, and moreover, plagued them for "a deal".
Despite them being as hard as nails, and refusing to budge on the price, even for cash, I'd definitely deal with them again. Friendly, professional, courteous, and expert, each and every one of them....... and the tent, footprint and carpet were all in perfect condition (as you'd expect, of course, but it was still a relief!).
I spent a fair whack when I went there, and I have no complaints, so yes...... I'd recommend 'em, too!
