Lots of us on here use fan heaters, most of them have temperature settings so that you can leave it on low during the night and it will click in and out, they also have a a button underneath which, if the heater is knocked over will turn it off.
I have used mine during the night just make sure its on a solid surface away from the tent walls and that nothing can fall on it and you will be fine.
Hope your palamos turns up soon, keep us posted!

And the lil boy feels the cold?? I think it will be fine but there is that seed of doubt, I imagine if anything fails on the heater it will just trip the electric like it does at home?? Oh dear I'm making myself more worried now but I do want to keep it toasty so the weekend is as good as it can be!!

We've been having a bit of a chat about this HERE just recently, as I'm heading in the same direction.
More importantly, there are masses of useful hints and tips AMONGST THIS LOT.
Any specific questions after that, then shout up on one of the relevant threads, or start your own. That way, we'll keep threads on track, and not take away any of the joy and excitement of the OP's and your new tent syndrome.
Thanks Janet, I kind of knew all this but you know when your mind plays the DANGER card ha ha I went a bit girly!!! Thanks for the advice, I think this trip will be a learning curve for sure, ill post some pics and let you know how it went eeek I am soooo excited xx
Will take pics and let you know how it goes. Been searching for a small weekender for our out of season camps. Wanted one with full height door and this fitted the bill. As for keeping warm I opted for electric blankets that you can leave on all night rather than leaving a fan heater on. They don't draw much electric either so we can usually have the heater on and warm the beds up!
I use my fan heater set on low through the night. It has an anti-trip cut off etc., and I live to tell the tales.
I used to use an electric underblanket on top of my airbed in winter. However, I no longer need to use one as the camp bed + SIM combo is very cosy without it.

Hmmm my smilies wont work !!!
Can I ask which electric blankets you use, some I have looked at have been very small,I'm finding that the fan heater dries the air , may take my radiator for during the night instead,or invest in some blankets.

I think one is a cheap lloytron dual control and the other is a Slumberland. Both have an all night setting and I actually prefer the Lloytron, is like sleeping on a giant hot water bottle.
