Outwell Sun Tent Collection The Outwell Sun Collection of tents became an instant success with campers, with their unusual colour schemes designed to remind you of sunny days. Tents in the range include the Kauai Reef, Hilo Reef, Maui Reef and Lanai Reef
Are you looking forward to seeing these at the shops and shows next year? Would you be tempted to buy one? Do you think you would be the talk of the campsite if you turned up and pitched one?
Why not tell us what you think about the new 2013 Sun Tent Collection from Outwell.
Cheers Ratty

I still can't make my mind up if I like this colour or not. I just keep thinking that if you add some swirly flowery curtains it will be the spitting image of our old 70's tent.
The colour looks a bit more subdued than in the 2012 collection. Now it is more like the colour of my Karsten tent, and I can confirm that it gives a feeling of sunshine and warmth even on rainy days!
But I don't like the tinted windows, they must make the world outside darker! And that's not what you need unless you are at the Costa Del Sol (and even there it is raining now I hear)

Yeah, i love the orange of my kauai reef but im assuming it will be faded by the end of the year, not bothered though as I like the idea of a faded tent as I think it just adds to the retro look. I am really pleased though that I got the tent this autumn as from the looks of things Outwell have really hiked the prices up the prices for next year. If i needed a new tent for next year I think I'd be buying something now, cos however good next years tents look theyre too expensive for me and im not convinced the extra features warrant the extra cost.
Here's an example of what you are seeing now due to the wet 2012 summer we had and the amount of spare stock thats knocking about in retailers.
Take a tent that has a RRP of say £500.00 that would normally sell for say £400.00 in a normal summer.
That tent in 2013 will have a RRP of say £550.00 and will sell for about £450.00 ish.
That same tent may well be on sale now at £250.00 - £300.00, again due to the wet summer we had this year.
So the new 2013 tents look as if they are super expensive when really all thats happened is the 2012 tents are being cleared out ready for the new 2013 tents coming in.
This is why you will be saving so much now if you can find the tent you are after.
