Hi, I'm a new camper and I'm having difficulty setting up my 2 Man Cruach tent bought from Trespass. I feel like an idiot asking for help but the instructions aren't very helpful and I just want to know if anyone else has bought this type of tent before and knows how to set it up.

Does anybody know how to set up a 2 Man Cruach Tent or am I alone here? xD

Thanks!

Looks like a fairly typical dome tent with a small porch?

(making sure I have the right tent before advice :) ).

Looks like my dome tent with an extra bit, should be a straightforward pitch.

Don't take this guide as 'read' but the way I would pitch is to slide the two poles that are the same size through the pockets on the sleeping area to form a cross.

Then slide the other pole ( if all 3 are same size shouldn't matter which) through the arch - this might be a little tricky but shouldn't be hard.

Restraining the poles will either be with a 'pin' or hole in a piece of plastic (my cheap tescos was the latter, all decent tents I think use pins).

To bend the poles to shape you restrain one end with a pin or plastic foot, then slowly form the arch and restrain the other end.

Form the arch first then the main dome and peg out as appropriate, you should always use guys, but the front porch section should pull the arch to position when you peg that section. I would peg at the back first, then the front.

NOTE: That's purely based on the picture and my experience of pitching my own dome and tunnel tents. IT may well be completely wrong, but it looks to be a straightforward pitch to me.

Looks like there will be 2 poles the same length that go X shaped over the main compartment ( as above, through the little 'tunnel' corner to corner and into the tab on the canvas, keep in place with a peg then form the archto locate on the other tabs) the shorter pole goes through the remaining tunnel side to side to form the porch

There are often pitching videos on youtube, which can be quite helpful Might be worth having a look to see if theres one for your tent :)
