Please please please have an answer for me!

Bought this tent in 2011 and just found out you can buy an extension to fit on to it! However this is where the problem starts..it's been discontinued and I found out it was already in short demand at yeomans when first coming out anyway so trying to find one is like a needle in a haystack..great!

So does anyone know if I can use any other extensions onto this tent without having the actual "real virginia 5" one?

hi if you dont mind an open fronted porch the oakland xl side extension is what i use on my virginia 5 if you look on the tent pics on this site of virginia tents there is one of someone else using one as an idea of space and how it fits i got mine from amazon.  other ppl also recommend the icarus 500 extension as a front closed in version slightly different colour though again you can see these in the pictures on this site. hope that helps

Hello everyone!

I understand the stress and empathise - we two are recent owners of a Ginny 5 but with two small boys need more space and are desperate for an original extension.

This is my first post as we are new to camping but we hope someone can help us. We purchased the carpet and footprint online from the Wyoming range and fit-wise they are not too far out. We have purchased a TT but our boys are so small we can't envisage erecting it and keeping an eye on them so we got this tent as a stop-gap (but I like her best!)

I've just seen the Coleman Galileo 5 front extension, i know its a bit wider than the Ginny 5 one, but does anyone think this will fit??

We are the proud owners of a Virginia 5 and wanted an extension but struggled to find one- in the end bought a Vango Icarus 500 extension which we road tested for the 1st time last weekend and it worked a treat- slightly different shade of green but apart from that it's perfect.

Hi Brindle- I'm not sure- it's an enclosed one without a sewn in groundsheet.  I'll see if I can find an e-mail from the place I ordered it
