Hi everyone. New to this site and so far im delighted i've found it. So many useful tips.
Ive a Sunvalley 6. Not sure of the year of manufacture. But....wair for it.... its missing its tent poles.... ahem.yes I Bought it second hand without checking the contents.... very embarrasing but hey im over it now.
Any idea how to get new ones? Seems its out of production a few years and i cant find a shop who might sell them. Might it be possible to get different poles that would fit?
Any help or advice appreciated to help us out. We are in Dublin Ireland so dealerships are very limited as is help on this subject!

There were two types of Sun Valley 6. The earlier version (2007 I think) had a sloping frontage whereas the 2008 version (that i have) has a flat front with full canopy, so make sure you get the right poles!
I think you are only going to find poles second hand now, i.e. if someone's got a damaged tent, but TBH they are more likely to throw it away than try to sell the poles.
You may be best to buy another one and keep the best tent canvas, then sell the spare one on ebay as a replacement for someone who's got a damaged one, if that makes sense.
It's a good tent though, we love ours!

At least knowing which model i have will help as i was told there would be a tag inside but there isnt. I crawled around inside and got lost its so big!!
Id have needed the poles to erect it to search for the tag..
Seller was all apologies but swears the poles were there.......

Hi
Outwell put the year of manufacture on a tag sewn onto the inside of the bedroom pod so have a look round the inside of the bedrooms

Make sure you post a video of you looking for the tag so we can have a laugh
Ta da!!!! I found the year its 2008!! I had searched the outwell site and got that they put the year in the bedroom bit. I had been searching the main body if the tent!!!
No video thank god.. I must have looked a right sight underneath all that plastic.... hubby and me put the tent out all over the kitchen floor this evening.
Thanks for all the help guys. Im loving this forum already.... now to get the 2008 poles. Hoping Andy can help me....
Can anyone suggest a shop either irl or on web that could supply my poles? Very limited here in ireland and cant get reply from some at all. Really want a direct contact for Outwell...
Ive given up on dealers as no one has any actual poles but would anyone know the pole diameter for my tent and how many i need and lengths? Seems i cant even find that info!!
Thanks if anyone could look at their tent poles and measure and count them for me. Id be very grateful!

Hi
Unless some kind owner is willing to measure their poles you are probably going on your own on this one.
Main tent poles are probably 12.7mm the sloping front model has 4 of these the canopy fronted model has 5. Both models have extra poles on the outside roof sections. At a guess the main poles will have at least 12 sections each if not more. Even with cheap poles youre looking at £100+ and the hassle of making them up. Of course the easiest thing would be to
find a cheap used damage tent and use the poles from it

Hi
Wish I could be more helpful shame you didnt get the poles with it. Nice tent though very nearly bought (sloping front) one back in 2007 but went for the Vermont instead same design but green with steel poles. Silly question but you have made sure the poles are not rolled up inside the tent
