My 2012 BL6 was replaced by Go Outdoors for a 2013 model, as it had a defect in it and the front extension which I bought elsewhere, won't fit.
Make me a suitable offer and it's yours!
I've also got a side extension, carpet and footprint if you are interested. The side extension was up for two nights and the carpet and groundsheet have been used for 4 nights (they sort of fit the 2013 model, but not quite).
Thanks for your reply. This forum is great. I've been following it for a while but only just joined. I think I renember seeing one of your posts about your BL6 tent hassles a while back!
Would £200 be acceptable? We'd bookmarked one on a couple of sites such as bch at £199 but when we got round to actually buying it they were out of stock...typical! Missed a couple not long ago on e-bay about that price too. We've got side extension, footprint & carpet just the elusive front extension we're looking for.
We're in the Isle of Man but are happy to arrange for Parcelforce or similar to collect or, depending on where you are, we may be able to collect next week or at the beginning of July as we have a couple of trips across the water coming up.
We have the side extension on our Bear Lake 6. We got it free due to some minor manufacturing faults we found in our tent (nothing that makes any difference to the performance of the tent), otherwise we would not have got one.
We are so glad we have got it as we use it for cooking under on one side of it with a food preparation table on the other side with a walkway to the door between them. It has proved it's worth to us as the front canopy does not work at all for cooking under in bad weather. Granted the side extension is not very long and you can get weather into it, however over 28 days of using it so far, including the very bad wind and rain of last years Jubilee week, we have only not used it once due to the wind and rain. We also do cover the cooking stand when not in use. It's also used for storing all sorts of other things under we don't want in the tent such as the BBQ when not in use etc.
You could do with seeing one pitched in order to decide for yourselves as I know others do not find it as useful as we do.
My husband has put his foot down and said I've spent enough on camping equipment this year (we've started from scratch so I must admit we could have gone on a summer holiday for the amount we've spent, but where's the fun in that?!?). So I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass.
Thanks very much for your offer though and hopefully someone will take you up on it.
