Camping this week, went out one evening, returned to find tear at rear (sleeping end) of tent, on bottom panel. It's about 1 metre long (!!) and we think it must have been due to stress from the wind pulling above the peg as we had not put the guy ropes out. We fixed it with gaffer tape which held for 2 nights but want to get it repaired. Seen posts relating to repair place in Burton on Trent which isn't too far away - anyone got any other recommendations?
Tent is an Outwell Utah 4 and we love it. Had it since 2009 and its survived all sorts of weather, including much stronger winds on Anglesey.

Always peg out the Guy Lines, even if the weather is very calm. If you want to keep it intact.

I ripped our Montana 6P last weekend whilst putting it up in wind, got a bit frustrated and forced it and a rip has occurred. I spoke with Barrie at Canvas Repair Centre on Thursday and he has arranged to have it collected on Monday, you just get the feeling from talking with him that they know exactly what they're doing and it will come back repaired properly. He's advised it should be with him for approx 2/3 weeks but I can live with that for the feel good factor, I also saw pictures of work he had done on other tents in a previous forum conversation and I am sure it'll be done properly and will therefore last.
