Off to Cornwall next week in our 09 Vango Icarus 500 (which I believe was the first) its looking faded and well used with a few strips of Tenacious covering some mishaps, and 7 or so new poles!

Bar 12 hours of continuous heavy rain in Snowdonia its never leaked and has done us proud for the estimated 50 or so nights we have spent in it. Its an excellent tent, anyone any idea as to how much longer it may last? Really don't want to get rid of it, some happy memories and no worries about getting it grubby!

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

I have a 2010 version but only started using it in 2011.

If the tent is not leaking why get rid of it?

I use our Icarus when I go away alone with with two children as it's a tent I can manage to put up myself. Mine is also looking a little faded now. I plan to replace mine in 2015, hopefully with an airbeam. I won't be using it at all next year as we are off to Florida for three weeks so will need to save my pennies. When my husband comes with us we take our Monte Verde 900.
