Question to anyone

Can you make the front of this tent into a canopy using poles and guys?     I notice from the photos on the reviews that there seems to be a central guy which would prevent this.

One of the things I really like about my current tent is the front canopy.   Keeps the sun/ drizzle off while we eat outside underneath it. Even in medium rain we have found it makes a nice porch and stops us feeling hemmed inside.    I would really miss that.
