We have an Outwell Montana 6 and this year will be pitching it with awning on an AWP at FForest Fields. Just wondering whether it will fit - any one any idea how long it will be, then I can contact Katie and check the size of the AWP.

According to what I could find via Tent Review, the tent is 415cm x 585cm; and the awning is another 260cm long based on a pic I could find on the web.
That makes the total length as nearly 7m long.
Based on memory, the AWP pitch I had was definitely longer than my tent which is 5.1m. However, I do not believe it was as much as 7m in length.
However, the pitches at FF are very generous, so it should still fit, even though part of it may not be on the AWP.
Better contact Katie and ask for her advice and confirm.

Thanks - I saw 2.60 m length but some of it is over the top of the tent ( if you know what I mean!!) so was unsure of the whole size. I will give Katie a ring. Last time we were there we had out trailer tent which was pretty big and it fitted on with about 1 m spare at the front!!
Based on the images I could find on the web, 2.6m referred to the "floor" space and not the actual length of the awning itself.
As mentioned in your other thread, I do not believe the AWP will be as long as 7m in length, and the awning may be pitched on the grass instead.

Hi,
We have the exact same gear and we quote 4.5m X 9m when booking a pitch....we added a little for guide ropes. We don't really count the rain entrance as width as it's only a very small portion of the side of the tent.
Thanks Pengi1 and DK168. Katie from Fforest Fields has got back to me to say not to worry.!
Pengi 1 , do you use the ground sheet on the awning part - and if so , do you put a tarp or anything under it? We have the footprint for the main part and a carpet , but are worried about tearing the groundsheet of the awning either from underneath on the AWP or from the top by 2 mad Labradors!!
As we hope to use it for the cooking and eating area and sitting in if extra space is needed during the day we were hoping maybe not to put anything on the ground!!We could easily buy a cheap tarp and DK168 suggested foam tiles but space may be at a premium when packing!!
We do use the groundsheet in the awning. We don't put anything underneath mainly because of it being detachable and thus easier to clean. It's very tough so should be hard wearing but we do put a roll up mat down by the door for wet feet and grass. Our whole kitchen set up and fold up table is in the awning and the groundsheet is still A1....
