I had my second pole break last month in 50 years of camping.
The first was about twenty years ago and this one was a fibre pole from a 3 pole Brand New tunnel tent.

One section split in a straight line length ways. I only realised when taking the tent down.
The supplier sent me two sections, one to replace the faulty section and one for a spare!
