Can anyone help... My husband will kill me if I buy the wrong tent again lol
We are looking for a new tent for 2014, for long weekends and possible weeks away. We are a couple with 2 children (age 7 & 3), and 2 dogs.
We currently have an Outwell explorer that I got on sale last year for £150, it was a bit of an impulse purchase as I fell in love with the fantasy collection when it came out. In hindsight, its waaayyyy too small!
Ive been looking at the Khyam harewood, which I though I wanted, but a friend who has a Khyam has had a couple of joints go in the last year, so im now thinking Outwell Montana 6P.
We have about £600 to spend, can anyone point me in the right direction, my head is spinning with all the choice...

I do believe that you need to see the tents actually set up to get a good idea of whether they are for you or not. For my twopenny worth, have you looked at the Kampa Croyd 8, can be had for £500, loads of tent for your money and well made also.

That puzzles me too...there is only so much you can do to a tent to make it better than another one. Obviously the material it is made from (nylon, polyester, polycotton, canvas) may make a difference to the price. The size of the tent may make a difference or the type of poles used etc; but I have only recently discovered that some tents cost £4000 or more... and even more surprising, there are people that buy them!!
Thanks for the tip Campernic, the vango looks to have loads of space, but the real deal breaker...I found one on sale for the bargain price of £289.99 down from £550 at outdoor megastore!
