Ok, I am looking at the Vango 350 tents, but I am getting a tad confused by prices and specs etc. Does anyone know the differences between the various 350, 350xl and EOS 350 versions (and any others that may be lurking out there?).
I am ideally looking for a sub 10kg 3/4 person tent with a fully SIG front and rear, and preferably £100 or less. The length of the bag cannot be more than 65cm as its for motorcycle touring. I can of course use the car when I am not taking the bike.
Will the Vango offerings fit the bill, or are there any other suggestions?

I have a Vango Gamma 350 that I use for weekends and it a great wee tent, small pack size and easy to erect.
There are however several Vango 350 tents (Beta, Gamma, Omega, Eos, Venture, Equinox etc.) of various designs.
The 350 reference simply means that it is a 3 man tent (2 in comfort).
I`ve got an EOS 350 that was exclusive to Go Outdoors and has one or two variations to the `standard` one from Vango, I think there`s a slight difference in the windows and there is a vent on the back of mine missing compared to the proper one. The groundsheet is a bit like an extension of the sleeping compartment, it simply rolls out towards the front of the tent and is pegged in place

Thanks for the heads up on that one, though it is probably bigger than I need, and slightly more than I want to pay at the moment. I am currently leaning towards the GO EOS 350 as with their discount, plus an extra 10% on their website today, I can get one for under £80, and they are only a mile away from my house.
I would buy the Halfords Osaki at £99 just for the headroom and the full length SIG, but looking at the design I am just concerned about high winds? It does have a 2 year guarantee though. I will take a visit to their store today and see how big the bag is.
My logic says, buy one of them, use it this summer, if I like it keep it, if I don't then grab a bargain in the autumn sales for next year, and sell the one I don't like next spring at a minimal loss. :)
The Osaki is a great wee design, and as long as you use common sense when pitching it'll be fine in the wind. You can either pitch bum in to the wind, or pitch in the lee of a hedge, wall or handily parked vehicle. And with all tents, better not camping in severe wind anyway.
I think the Vango 350 has a linked in ground sheet which is not the same as a fully sewn in groundsheet.
In the linked in version, the flysheet has no groundsheet attached. The bed pod has a SIG and attached to the outside of the bed pod is a groundsheet which tucks under a flap on the sides of the flysheet in the living quarters.
Ah thanks Jukie.
And yes I know what you mean.
It's the "the linked in version" I'm trying to avoid.
I'm also looking at the "Bath-tub" groundsheet to see if that'd be any good. As I say I'd rather have a Fully SIG in the fly area as well. Also I've never seen a tent without a SIG in the bedroom area, and wouldn't want one without one lol

I've plumped
Well I've plumped for a Vango ARK 300+ that I made an offer of a £100 (inc P+P)on eBay yesterday. It was accepted and despatched the same day.
I suppose the only way to find the right tent is to try it out but it'd be better if you could try before you buy.
It's too late to try it out now as we're off to Wales camping on the bike for the weekend and the new tents hasn't arrived yet luckily a friend is taking our camping gear and is already packed in his car.
As soon as we get back I'll pitch it in the garden to test it out and rate it and post my thought on it.
Happy camping people
