Does everyone just use regular guy lines for the front or can you get some sort of storm straps? As there is only one way into the tent if the wind direction changes and is straight into the front I see this may be a weak point?
I was thinking about getting a couple of tie down straps to use in addition to the regular guy lines if this should happen. Rather than straight out from where they attach to the poles we currently put the front guy lines further apart allowing more useable space but could put the tie down straps straight out from the tent to brace it better against wind. Any thoughts on this?

I use reflective guys with Delta pegs with no reported issues. If it is really windy, then I may use 2 guys for each side, however, I have yet to need to do that.
When pitching a pyramid tent, it is usually recommended to have the back of the tent towards the wind whenever possible.

no issues with our eldarado front guy lines.
there very strong and we have never had to fit more lines even when the wind changed direction.
