We've just purchased a Royal Tokyo 6 and taken it to derbyshire for a test run. We're in the middle of amber warning showers and the tent isnt getting flooded but water is dripping in from some seams, and when the rain is heavy there is a haze of water in the tent? I know this has a 3000hh, not sure if thats any good. Is the leaking normal, do I need to reseal, even if its new, and is the fine water normal when the rain is heavy.

I can understand the seams maybe letting a bit of rain through if it's heavy.
I had to use seam sealer on a Coleman tent, even though it was a new tent.
The fine spray sounds worrying, as the inside has a PU coating to make it waterproof so nothing should get through.
It is VERY humid at the minute so it could be just condensation forming on the inside of the tent and when it rains hard the movement of the flysheet shakes off the condensation.
I would just get some seam sealer and run it over those areas of the seams that are leaking, inside the tent.
Then when it stops raining try and get everything out and get it all aired and allow loads of air to go through the tent, if at all possible.
Hopefully that should dry it out a bit then at night leave all vents open.
Thanks ian, I think your suggestion about humidity was right, after getting a brief chance to air the tent out, me and my family have just sat through a massive thunderstorm for 45 mins with only a small amount of leakage and no fine spray.
