Ive just acquired a Vango colorado 1200 and wondered if anyone can recommend accessories to fit (as its discontinued) eg footprint, carpet, porch etc.
Thanks in advance

I had the old Colorado 800dxl way way back in 2005 and dont remember any Vango accessories but hopefully someone else may know. I have a feeling the 1200 was discontinued around that time. Groundsheet was just a flat sheet in the living area (not bathtub or sewn in) so no footprint need also as water could enter the tent through the gap between tent and ground no carpet.
The Colorado was revamped and redesigned around 2008ish with a bathtub groundsheet but I dont recall a 1200 being available in this later design or if any of the accessories would fit earlier models but good luck in finding something
Depends on the vintage of Colorado? Mine was a 2004 version which was outer first, no SIG, so no carpet or footprint made for it back then. Any of the porch extensions for the Vango Diablo, Killington or Colorado should fit though, they started coming out three or four years later.
I do still have the small front porch for my Colorado 1200 btw but it isn't much more than a shelter for the doorway, so you can leave it open without the rain drooling into the front. There's no room under it for sitting out or cooking. I gave the Colorado away to the Scouts shortly after so I've still got the canopy, which has literally been used once. If you were interested in it I paid £15 for it I think, happy to sell it on for £10 plus postage.

Also had a Colorado in 2004/2005 as Wendy said groundsheet was just a flat piece of tarp no SIG back then exept for the bedrooms. As there was a gap all round the bottom of the tent ventilation was good but could be very draughty and the wind could/would blow rain in. Again dont remember any accessories at that time but as "Val" said some of the later front extensions fitted. Was a decent tent though in its time but not the easiest to put up.
As Wendy said it was redesigned somewhere around 2008 but as I recall the 1200 was discontinued earlier.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
My 2004 was a cracking good tent and quite compact for a spread dome with three pods and front vestibule, it measured (I think) just under 7m x 7m when up which meant it would just fit into a C&CC pitch, a lot of the big dome tents of that era wouldn't. (Which is why they fell out of fashion, partially.)
It was definitely a two person job to put it up though! One tip, Debbie, is to work very symmetrically, put the dome up, then the back pod, then the two side pods working from front to back, then the front vestibule. And make sure you put the pins up the pole ends in the correct order, if you twist the ring strap or pole sleeve you'll lose precious slack, the rings and pins are a tight fit in that tent. That's if it's the version with the separate groundsheet like mine, of course. But once up it was bombproof, not to mention huge. We had twenty people in that tent at one point or you could fit three of these folding table and stool sets down the centre and have a long table that would sit 14 in relative comfort. I think it had king poles to pole out the front door, either that or I added eyelets and bought it poles. The "safety" door at the back though was a bit pointless, we always used the third pod. The 800 version that had 2x4 bed pods and a flat back with second doorway was a brilliant piece of kit though.
Happy memories of that tent....:)
The Scouts have it now, I always have to look away when I see it erected. Whoever said Scouts are good at putting tents up have never seen our lot when faced with the Colorado, lol.
