Because everyone has different needs and wants from his/her tent, and one tent cannot tick all the boxes?
I am on my 4th tent since I started camping in 2006, and shall be getting my fifth and hopefully final tent before I move to the dark side.

WARNING:
The above tent:
1) Has a sloping bedroom roof, reducing height towards the rear.
2) Does not have enough large sheltered canopy for kitchen.
3) Cannot be opened to a full width (6 berth) bedroom.
4) Is made of polyester.
