Hi Leeroy, you are right they did do a larger extension, i have the evolution 400 and 400 plus. I was away last week solo camping in the 400 and could not be bothered to put up the door canopy, takes longer to put up than the tent. So i used my tarp hooked over one of the poles that run over the door, and within 5 minutes of securing all this I had the mother of all thunderstorm and torrential rain, i was quite happy sitting out onder my tarp, as laong as you position it completely over the door the rain cannot get in, hope this helps.
