We used our Outwell Wolf Lake 7 for the second time this week and one of the poles has sheared. I need a replacement pole if anyone has one or a set?

Outwell don't seem to have any in stock or plans to restart manufacture until next year. £1200 for a tent that served us for less than 25 nights is not good!

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

Hi nickwxm, sorry to hear about your broken pole woes. I had the same thing happen to one of my Wolf Lake poles earlier this year when putting it back up to dry out and like you found there are no replacements available. Obviously these tents are far too valuable to discard because of a broken pole so I have fashioned a repair method which may help you. I assume that like mine your pole has snapped where it slots together. I obtained a piece of steel tube about 6 inches long with an inside diameter just a fraction bigger than the outside diameter of the pole so that the pole can slide snugly inside it. I then put the end of the broken pole section up to the next undamaged section and positioned the tube over the join. With the tube in this position I stuck it to the broken section with a strong 2-pack adhesive such as chemical metal and left it to go off. Once it was stuck I could then pull then undamaged section out of the tube and fold the pole down as normal, I painted the tube with silver paint and it is barely noticeable. I was able to get these materials from work for nothing, but to buy them would cost no more than a tenner. A small price to pay to rescue a £1200 tent! Hope this helps
