Is anyone on here a member of the official Club.I messaged them to join but have received no reply.
The site seems to have been inactive since 2012-what a shame for us Cabanon lovers.
Can any of you 'shed' any light on this!

Noticed on the Cabanon Facebook page what looks to be a clearance sale!
I wonder if this is a regular thing, part of a new marketing strategy or a 'Grande Depart' from the tenting scene?
They have however had an open air tent show recently.
Nice site near Blois. Keeping it in mind for a future trip the the Loire valley.
I bought a little ridge tent directly from them last year and have been looking for something I can stand up in for weekends. The tents that were 'out of stock' at the end of last year have not changed status all year - still out of stock.

Maybe somebody could start one and see what interest it generates on here. I am thinking of using my 2002 Antigua this year instead of the polyester outwell tent as I think you cannot beat cotton .👍😎

Well said and so true! Even my back packing tent is (poly)cotton.....
In reality I could just be perverse, lol!
Hiya, great post re Antigua. We also bought Cabanon Antigua early 2000s (bought new from Forest Camping, Wimborne) and love it. Not having a sewn in ground sheet became an issue (And its weight!). Can you say what size tarp you used, please as this seems a great solution. Also, was this just for the living area (as the sleeping pods are pegged)
Best trip was taking it back to its homeland, France. Great 10 days at a really friendly site at a place called Charny, in the Yonne. Looks like they've sold it since as seems a lot younger clientele now!! Cabanon looked the real deal there.

Yep, bought our Cotton Biscaya 370 new back in 2008, we have only camped with it in Southern France during July, it truly is the best tent that I have ever owned, there is just something about cotton canvas that makes it just so special.
hi we use a 350 by 350 cm polycotton green outwell tarp to sit on the front of the antigua 5 man tent it is great to use as loads of space to sit out of sun or rain.
We've not used our Estoril since 2016 but, I so want to, and really think this style of tent should come back into vogue. As I've posted before, I can put the 6-berth up on my own (56 year old, 5.5 woman, average fitness), and the feeling of being in it with the light roof lining and cotton canvas is wonderful.
It's high time modern versions of this style of tent were produced, with Z/SIGs for weather and bug resistance. And the colours, so much joy.
More sustainable/eco too (?).
I made a second canopy for the Estoril, with side panels (with windows).
I'm itching for an outing.

The tarp size 5 by 4 metres covers whole of the tent floor over the mud flaps then rise over size edging of the tarp up resting against the plastic mud wall guards, using the tarp eyelets you could tie or clip onto the 6 poles. for extra sealing use none marking Gorilla tape to tape it to side walls. with inner bedroom tents just rest them on the tarp they will be fine when your camp or air beds are inside it. use a tent carpet to cover the front living area, you will then be fully water and draft proof.

Our Cabanon Pyramide is still in the cupboard. Can’t bear to bin it. Quirkiest tent we’ve seen on any site. Loved it. Cotton, and also bomb proof - well, gale proof.
We'll we just experienced the Canon Biscaya 370 canvas cotton at Also Festival and we've fallen in love already! It's the best camping experience we've ever had, what a tent.
Just wondering if the community can advise on a couple of things:
- Can the inner tent be washed eg by hand, to remove some small mould marks?
- Can we get replacements for the inner plastic pole hangers?
If anyone knows of any other useful Cabanon Biscaya websites or info we'd love to hear it! Thanks
You can put the inner in a washing machine, just give it a double rinse cycle to get rid of all the detergent suds. Then just dry it on the line.
When we had a Biscaya, I used to let the inner nearly dry, then fasten it up inside the pitched tent to let it dry under tension. This ensures no shrinkage.
If the inner on your Biscaya clips up over the pole sleeve with plastic clips, it's an early model (around 2006). Are you sure it's the cotton model (brown and beige)? If it's green and beige, it's an all-season polyester canvas (brilliant, and easier to care for than the cotton because you can wipe it clean and it will withstand being packed up wet for far longer than the cotton version).
Later models have a bedroom inner that clips up to a perforated webbing strap, with metal S hooks (plastic clips just for the bottom part, which clips direct to the pole, not over the pole sleeve). Enquire at Cabanon dealers - few and far between now in the UK - for spares.
They're great tents. Does yours have the zip-on front canopy?
