Hi, we got our Croyde 6 Air and put it up this weekend. I love the tent and the layout, but I have some minor niggles - it would be great to get your advice as to whether it's worth getting back in contact with the supplier.

Firstly, there are a couple of faults in the sewn in groundsheet. They look like they've been repaired - but I'm worried it's a source of weakness. Both are in the back right hand corner, underneath the inner tents.

Secondly, when I first put it up, we couldn't close the door between the tent and the porch - the door material just wouldn't stretch. I deflated it, repegged (just in case), zipped up the door and then reinflated. The tent went up fine, I could open and close the inner door and I thought all was fixed, but then noticed that the roof over the porch area was significantly lower than the roof over the living area and the black material where the airbeam goes was dragged down to the lower side. This made it difficult to remove wrinkles and tension the porch area as much as I'd like and I worry about rain pooling rather than running off. I'm worried they've sewn the inner door too tight and it's slightly deforming the tent shape.

Our last tent was dirt cheap (£100 - with ~120 nights camping for 5 of us in the last 7 years - bargain!) and while it wasn't perfect, I could never complain. Now we've spent so much money on an upgrade - am I expecting too much? Should I contact the supplier?

The door should definitely be zipped up prior to gutting out etc.

Hi, I got the Croyde classic air. The instuctions say to inflate with all doors zipped up, this might make a difference to the shape. I noticed on mine the tubes don't sit exactly in the centre of the black panels and the front beam sits further to to rear of the tent, which means the porch looks slightly lower(see pictures on Kampa's web page). In one of your pictures it looks like the beam may be twisted or not stuck to Velcro at the base.
The SIG defects I'm not sure, can't see any problems on mine, if you aren't happy I would speak to the supplier.

Is the issue definitely with the door and not the airbeam above it? You could unzip the outer sleeve to the beam and make sure the beam is sitting correctly in the sleeve and fully unrolled. Some Vango owners last year found their beams had not been put in properly with the bottoms of the beams being folded over / rolled up at the feet of the beams. Kampa have adopted a Vango style system this year. This made the tent sit too low, but once the beams were unfolded the tent then pitched correctly for them....just make sure your beam is no more than half inflated before you unzip the outer sleeve, and don't touch the inner sleeve zip with any air in the beam.

Thanks. I think I'll have to have another go at putting it up. The beams didn't seem to be twisted, the door being shut just pulled the material down on one side. I'll have another look though - it does look similar on the online photos from Kampa - just not as extreme

I would definitely be getting in touch with the supplier, and if their response is not satisfactory, then Kampa direct. The photos you have already are probably enough to illustrate.
