Re the shangri la on eBay
If we wanted another polycotton tent that would be the one wow I love those
The seller also advertises on here I think it's actually vango themselves selling under nearly new tents
The only problem I can think of would be finding the carpet and footprint but I haven't searched and would expect to find something that would fit
I'd expect it would sell at around £1000 mark
The refurbishment mentioned is probably the inner tubes as early airbeams suffered with leaks but by the look of it they've replaced them

Have you considered the Concorde m (or L) plus the awning? Our combination is a big as many 6 berth tents, but the advantage is the flexibility of using just the main bit, say for shorter stays. My concern with a true 6 berth polycotton inflatable would be the weight of the pack - but of course ours is split between two bags, and both are very manageable. The awning has a toggle-in groundsheet, so is separate if that suits, for transport.
Doesn't have the 3rd sleeping pod that you need, but surely generic one could be added somehow? I haven't tried in the Concorde yet but did do it in our previous tent (Kampa Holkham).
We have the Shangri La and it is a fantastic tent, particularly as it's a fairly simple shape to put up. We used to have a Vermont XL, also a great tent, but we always struggled to get the front area pegged neatly. Too many angles and corners!
The Shangri La is just a rectangle with two wings at the front. No awnings, no side door to faff with, no canopy. We just keep it simple and put a tarp up if we need more shelter/shade. The SIG is amazing, really tough, a lovely feel to the polycotton. We got a carpet made from Attwools, but the vango Eclipse carpet and footprint fit anyway.
I agree with Paul+Kate, it will go for £1000-£1200, anything less is a bargain.
Just seen your post. Ive been swapping and changing tents for a number of years, trying to find the right one - had to be polycotton, good sized living area, enclosed porch (seperate to the main tent) for kitchen bits and inflatable. Being inflatable may not save a huge amount of time, but it is a lot less hassle than poled tents - particularly when its raining or if you wan to put it up quickly in the garden to dry out etc.
Anyhow - I sold my Eden last year as wanted a different layout but it is a nice tent. The Croyde I liked but end up going for the Euphoria with a front awning. This just zips on and encloses the porch area - makes it a good length, but not too long.
The Shangri La is a nice tent, but no options for awnings if thats what you'd like for extra space/storage.
All the Outwell air tents i've seen seem a lot narrower due to them being smaller and the beams being more arched.
I still don't think i've found the perfect tent (ideally i'd like a Vango Illusion in pc) but the one i'm going for is as near as possible.
You know what you need but if you want any opinions from me on various tents (as done a lot of research), just ask.
All the best

Thanks - right now I'm considering a second-hand Wolf Lake 7. If I can get it at a good price I'd be willing to not have the air beams but still get a very decent, spacious tent in poly cotton.
And yes... think I'm going to need to invest in a trailer as well.
Think the idea of the zip in groundsheet is so you can devide the weight up and it helps with the bulk

We have just had a vango euphoria with awning to replace a very simalar non pc tent with poles and honestly I can't fault it we just got back from a weekend away in it. The pollycotton is great as is the airbeams and general finish of the tent. The awning fit realy well as I know that some people have commented on the gap but we found it to be a close fit. The only drawback is the size and weight a trailer is a must wih this tent I think as although it fit in the boot with a couple of bags of luggage there was not a lot of room to spare for furniture if you take cupboards, chairs, tables and beds etc..The airbeams were much easier with children to watch when setting up.
A year+ later I'm looking for a poly cotton air beam tent with 3 pods & was excited to come across his discussion.
I'm considering a Vango Rhapsody 800XL - I love the size of the wet room & the canopy but don't love the layout of the 3-4 pods...
The makes & models mentioned last year don't seem to be avilable new this year and I'm wondering what Loydall settled for in the end?...
I'd prefer to buy a new tent for peace of mind so I'd be grateful for any advice on latest makes and models.
Thank you Campers!

I got the Studland Classic Air. Really pleased with it. Compared to the Rhapsody it just felt like a nicer environment to be in - spacious, great bedroom layout and nice and light with all the windows open.
Honestly can't fault it.

Hi
The Rhapsody is now discontinued and I think sold out everywhere.
We have posted to youtube the new Vango Illusion TC 800 xl which is the new Vango poly cotton.
We still have the Studland Classic on show if you are close enough to come and see it but it will come down after this weekend.
Here is a package deal. http://www.inflatabletentsonline.co.uk/tent-package-deals/kampa-studland-8-classic........
