Just returned from our first trip of the year in our new montana 6 after changing from our hartford. First day was lovely but the heavens opened on Saturday morning and it rained for 48 hours. The tent was subjected to sustained winds of 40 mph and gusts even greater and this coupled with an inch of rain and severe flooding after a river burst its banks. Monday was lovely for packing up. The tent remained totally waterproof and we all survived like true hardened campers. Did anyone else endure the wild weather. Our fiends vango icarus 500 also stood strong but let in a little rain. Can't wait for next trip.

Always feels good to successfully get through a testing camp (weather-wise), for both tent and tenter(s)!
... And always good to hear about it on here, too.
I know we expect new tents to prove weather proof, but it's always a nice relief when it does!
I went camping with my parents this weekend. Me and the OH were in our Vango Da Vinci 5, and my parents were in their Montana 6. The weather wasn't too bad, we had rain but not a ridiculous amount of wind. Both tents withstood though.
The Montana is an awesome tent. We all banded together to buy it for my parents for Christmas and we definitely made a good choice there!
