First post. I am looking for a family tent for 2 adults and 3 kids - ages 2-7, now, but growing fast!
We are not (yet) hardcore campers, but we would like to buy a tent that will see us through, and be good for week-long European tours etc. We'll tend to camp in the summer. We don't want to spend four figures! We'd like the best decent quality at the lowest price.
I have done done some research, and it seems an 8-man tent is the best option. Is this right?
I have come up with the below. These are all vis-a-vis style, and I think they all have taped seams.
Can you please help advise on what's good / what's not, and perhaps what you'd go for? The first seems well priced, but there is no info on it anywhere. Has anyone used this tent? Otherwise, is there any reason not to plump for the Eurohike, at the price it is available for?
Any recommendations I haven't considered are very welcome too.
Your help is massively appreciated.

Thanks for all the advice. The Orava looks great, but is a little beyond our budget. The sense I have is, in terms of bang for your buck, the Eurohike is best. Does it suffer, do you think, because it's perceived as a budget brand? Functionality and designs seems on a par with other more expensive ones.
Try searching for a good deal on an
Outwell Vermont xlp or Montana 6p both great tents

Good suggestions on the Kampa models above, in the same vain for not much more than the Eurohike you could get a Vango Inca 500/600 which was from their 'signature' range and they come with a 6000mm HH, storm straps and are 75d PU coated polyester.

Have you considered a Gelert Corvus 6+2, we've had ours 5 years and absolutely love it, so much so that we've just changed ours - for another one!! They don't make them anymore but there are some real bargains on ebay, RRP is £599 but there's one brand new one on there for £299 buy it now, if it's anywhere near you. It's a fantastic tent, very roomy and stands up very well in the wind and rain.
Good luck!
------------- May/June - Spring Valley
Aug/Sept - Leekworth
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

------------- It's better to ask a silly question than make a silly mistake.
We got our replacement brand new from a caravan and camping dealer on ebay paid about £340, as said they are no longer made, but you do see them regularly pop up on there second hand at very reasonable prices.
We have a side porch and front extension and just picked up a sun canopy for a tenner for when we don't use the extension.

I have the Oasis 8 and it is a very good tent, we are taking it down to Dorset in Aug, have pitched in some awful weather and this has withstood all that has been thrown at it.
It also comes as a 6 berth which could also serve your purpose, we got oues from Go-Outdoors in the sale for £700.
