Hello, this is my first post on this forum and would like advice please regarding the Vango Skye tent we are considering buying.

It's been 20 years since the wife and I went camping and have many happy memories of sitting in our Cabanon tent listening to the wind and rain hitting the canvas

We like the Vango Skye tent and I see there are a number of suppliers selling this tent and on one site there was £100 difference between the 2014 and 2015 models. Looking at the specs I can't see any differences but surely there must be something, else why the price drop?

I don't want to waste money so will happily take the older version if there's nothing to be gained by buying the latest. We are also wanting to buy the carpet and footprint so would be buying everything at the same time to make sure it's available.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

According to the Vango website, they are only offering a 6 berth Skye this year. I think last year it came in 4 and 5 berth versions as well.

Like you I can see no difference at all between the '14 and '15 V600 models.

It could just be as simple as the retailer trying to shift old stock but it would be worth checking that it is new and un-opened.
