Hi all,
Am looking for some tent recommendations. Am looking for a steel poled 7/8 man tent (could go abit smaller but would then need a porch to with). Reasonable budget but don't want to go crazy. Def no air beam tents and no fibreglass poles! Would prefer a green tent but that's my mum being picky!
Mum doesn't like the viz a viz tent styles but does want lots of space. Currently thinking hi gear frontier 8, out well Montana 6 maybe the outwell Vermont XLP?
Current tent in an Icarus 500 which is brill but after a windy stay at badminton horse trials has encouraged me to upgrade to steel poles.

Help! Which should I go for?

-------------
24th - 28th August Barn House Farm
2/3rd - 9th may 2016 - badminton horse trials
6th - 11th July 2016 silver stone woodlands

Have a look at the Kampa Croyde 6 or Croyde 8. We've just bought the Croyde 6, loads of space, very sturdy with steel poles and a built in porch which you can also enclose with the optional vestibule. Great tent!

could you go with a smaller tent maybe if the porch was integrated? The Kampa Hayling is a good looking tent with huge windows!

If you don't want to spend "Outwell money", maybe have a look at the Vango Monte Verde 700 (from the Vango Signature range), available online for £399.

Hmmmm, I do keep coming back to the Vermont XLP, just hard to find them for sale! Don't mind spending outwell money to get "The One" as much as we aren't fussy, really we are!! Mum won't have a blue tent, and she is rather picky about the layout. I just want a fab new tent to play with!

If money isn't that important then go and see the different tents in the flesh and pick the one that feels right.
