Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum which looks great, and will suit our needs when we visit the UK and Isle Man TT next year. We are doing the camping thing at the TT and looking for a two person light weight tent with standing head room.
We dont have these options over here in NZ, we do a lot of camping mainly on motorcycles over here but limited to a light weight dome type tents with low heights, i am getting older and dont want to crawl around in these any longer.
I have been doing a lot of research on two person light weight tallish tents available in the UK, and the best option for our needs, seems to be the Gelert Cabana 2, at 7.3kgs, High peak Colorado 180 and the Relaxdays simalar to High Peak.
The Gelert Cabana 2 in the Apricot and Charcoal colours, which we like, seem almost impossible to find, i have searched everywhere, what i would like to know has anyone bought one of these recently and where from?

Recently sold my Cabana 4. Not sure a 2 would give much standing room due to the sloping sides and front of the tent.
Have you looked at Outwell Arizona? I have the Calgary which is the same, this gives good standing height room. The floor space in the living area takes two picnic rugs. Problem with this tent is two people are needed to erect without putting too much strain on the poles.

Thanks Coastal-Path have looked at the Outwell, a little on the heavy side to carry around, I would say good quality though. Also weight plays an important part when we are doing motorcycle trips over here.

I do like what I see on this site, lots of good information which we will be using when we come over next year, certainly will save us a lot of money using the camping facilities around the country.
Thank you Sarahlr, yes looking forward to it, be nice to get away from our winter, which has been very very cold one this year for some reason. I have been looking around and you you have some nice camp spots over there as we don't like the big cities to much.

I was going to suggest the Outwell Calgary. I have one for sale (listed on UK Campsite). I'm selling because I can't put it up single handed otherwise its a great tent. Bought for the same reason - ageing knees!
Hi the Gelert Cabana 2 is discontinued so I can't see anywhere in UK that has it in stock. But whilst looking for it on Amazon UK I saw this dome with stand up height, a bit heavier at 8 kg, but good standing room and more of it than in the Relaxdays one. See here

Thanks for that, but they don't ship to NZ. I have managed to get exactly what i was after at Funky Leisure Uk, a Gelert Cabana 2 in the Apricot and Charcoal colours. Thanks for the help.
