Hiya my name is Jo i have been looking at tents around £300 with two bedrooms.A sewn in ground sheet and a minimum hydrostatic head 3000.I am looking for a tent for my man, myself and our daughter to camp for a week.At the moment we just have a weekend tent you can crawl into.

so far i have researched many tents and found these two that seem like good quality brands. But cant really find many reviews or photos or you tube videos.A few but a quick glance

So i am stuck especially seeing as i cant get a good look at the bedrooms.

Hi
We recently bought a vango Iris 600 and found it to be great for our needs. We are a family of two adults and two children and as it is a 6 berth there is plenty of room. We bought it from Ultimate outdoors and managed to get 15% off with a now expired code. They also do a 5 berth for £250. It has a 5000 HH and is tall enough for my 6ft hubby to stand up in in the living and bedrooms. It doesn't have a canopy like the other you have seen, but we use a separate tarp as shelter. We were happy with its performance on our weekend away and it stayed dry in a downpour. Easy enough to put up too.
Good luck with finding the right tent for you.

Yeah, I found the same, loads of similar tents under different names and even shades of colour.
Confusing isn't it!!
We went to look at a different tent altogether, but once in the shop, found we liked the look of this one more.
I would recommend finding a retailer with tents on display so you can have a look and see which suits your needs more, then once you know the dimensions etc, shop around online to get the best tent/ deal for your needs.
To be fair when we bought this tent, we had only nipped in for a look at accessories, but the deal was too good to miss!!

Sorry cross posted....
I struggled to find specific reviews, so looked around at other similar Vango reviews to get a general picture.
We have a footprint with our old tent, but was slightly different dimensions so just used a similar size tarp underneath. As long as it is slightly smaller you will be ok as it does the same job, keeps the tent underneath clean and adds a bit of protection. Similarly we used our carpet form our other tent and it was fine.

Hi Jo and welcome

You are quite correct about the number of tents that are made by the same company, with different names but are in reality the same tent.
This is just so that a supplier can label it as "exclusive" to them.

The other thing you will find is lots of different companies make very similar tents. The Outwell Montana is very similar to the Hi Gear Frontier in design for example.

Then there is the added complication of different companies using the same or very similar name for entirely different tents.

Try to see tents on display and make a note of your likes/dislikes then go from there. Look carefully at the sleeping pods as some offer a lot more flexibility than others.

Good luck with your search

I have NEVER been lost, though I do admit to spending several hours locationally challenged

More tentage = Campus Sherpa 4 - reproofed and still going strong

In Memorandum = Vango Quest, Khyam Chatsworth, and a frame tent OH wouldn'try!!!!
