Ewen C how difficult did you find putting the door frame poles up? Did you use the cross camping method one side at a time or did you put the whole top section of the frame up first and the bottom section poles last (if that makes sense)...or another method?...
I've tried both and prefer top first then the legs. Centre pole first, then middle hoop then front... Of course, that is the Palamos but should be the same with the Alaska.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
It was a beast both times.
Top cross pole in the pockets
1 corner spike into the hole and attach cross pole and leg ( but don't raise it)
Next corner onto cross pole and try to get the spike in swearing profusely. Then attach leg and raise on pole pads.
Have a beer
The infamous Alaska frame ...I think alcoholic beverages before, during and after might be required
Here's a question: We have our first camping trip of 2017 at the end of the month - 3 nights. Do we:
a) Take the trusty 4m bell tent. Easy and perfect for short camps.
b) Take the new Alaska. Very keen to try it...but will we regret it? (too much of a faff for a short stay especially first time? We have a week booked at the end of July).
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
